Arabkir is a residential district with families, parks, and local markets. Lower prices than tourist areas. Less English spoken and further from main attractions.
Arabkir is a middle-class residential area where families actually live. Tree-lined streets and parks like Tumanyan and Arabkir Park create a quiet atmosphere, very different from tourist-heavy Kentron. You'll see kids walking to school, families grocery shopping, people exercising in parks. There are cafes and restaurants for the local crowd, and prices are lower than Cascade or Opera areas. English is less common since it's mostly residential - keep Google Translate handy. You can eat alone in the modern cafes, though you might be the only foreigner. It's safe day and night, getting quiet after 10pm when families go inside. Crime is rare. You'll need taxis or the metro to reach central attractions since Arabkir is about 3km from Kentron. Good option if you want lower prices and local atmosphere without being in the tourist center.
