Psiri is dead during the day but turns into Athens' main nightlife area after dark - live music, packed bars, dancing until 3 AM. This is where young Athenians actually go out. Six d.o.g.s has a courtyard with DJs and live music where going alone doesn't feel weird. Streets are busy and well-lit at night, which makes it feel safer than you'd expect. The vibe is alternative and creative, not aggressive. English is common in bars since the scene draws international people. Restaurants like Zampano do modern Greek food. Less polished than Kolonaki, grungier than Monastiraki, younger crowd, cheaper prices. During the day it's pretty empty and feels sketchy - this is an evening neighborhood.
