Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR
Main Kowloon tourist area with harbor views, all budget levels for accommodation, shopping and culture nearby. Safe, English-friendly, but more crowded and touristy than Hong Kong Island.
Tsim Sha Tsui sits on the Kowloon waterfront across from Hong Kong Island with good harbor views from the Avenue of Stars promenade. Mix of high-end hotels and budget guesthouses, upscale malls and street markets - all tourist budgets covered. Nathan Road is the main street with tailors, electronics shops, and restaurants serving every Asian cuisine. The Symphony of Lights show at 8pm draws waterfront crowds. Touts along Nathan Road push tailoring, massages, and fake watches - annoying but not threatening, just say no firmly. English is common since tourism runs the area. Solo dining works fine from street stalls to hotel restaurants. Star Ferry gets you to Central in 10 minutes with great views. MTR connects to the rest of Kowloon. Knutsford Terrace has bars, more relaxed than Lan Kwai Fong. Kimberley Street has Korean restaurants. Safe to walk at night, well-lit, people around, but watch your stuff in crowds.

Main shopping area where locals buy fashion, cosmetics, and electronics. Safe, busy all hours, more affordable than Central. Authentic local feel, less English but still manageable.
Business by day, bar scene by night. Live music venues, dining from street food to upscale. Safe due to crowds but watch your drink carefully in bars.
Upscale dining and bar district built along a hillside escalator. Good restaurants, sophisticated nightlife scene, safe streets. More about quality than partying.
