Budapest, Hungary
The Buda Hills offer peace and quiet with good hiking opportunities, but it's not very convenient for exploring Budapest. The area is very safe and has nice views, but you'll need to travel back to the center for restaurants and nightlife. Better for longer stays or if you want to be away from tourist areas.
The Buda Hills are great if you want to get away from the city and into nature, but they're not super convenient for typical Budapest sightseeing. The area is very safe - mostly residential with hiking trails and nice views over the city. It's peaceful and quiet, perfect if you like outdoor activities or want to stay somewhere less touristy. The downside is that you'll need to take public transport back to the center for restaurants, nightlife, and major attractions. During the day, the hiking trails feel completely safe, though they can get pretty isolated, especially in the evening. It's more of a choice for longer stays or if you really prioritize being in a quiet, natural setting over being close to the action. The public transport connections are decent but it takes time to get to the main tourist areas.
