Khan Market is one of the world's priciest retail streets - diplomats, wealthy Indians, and expats shopping for imported cheeses, designer clothes, and books. The upscale nature means good security, clean infrastructure, and English-speaking staff everywhere. Women working on laptops in cafes or reading over brunch is normal. Shops close around 8-9 PM with good lighting and security throughout. You'll pay tourist prices for everything, but the trade-off is feeling secure walking around. Khan Market metro station on the Violet Line. Bahrisons bookstore is well-known, restaurants cover everything from Italian to Lebanese. It's sanitized and international - could be an expensive shopping district anywhere. Good if you need a break from Delhi's intensity, though not particularly authentic.
