Delhi, India
Modern shopping and residential area centered on a big mall. Safe and comfortable with good amenities, but no real character. Good if you want modern comforts and lower stress.
Saket is South Delhi's upscale area centered on Select Citywalk mall - big shopping destination with international brands, cinemas, and restaurants. The area feels safe and modern with wide roads, street lighting, and police presence since it's a middle/upper-class residential zone. The mall draws crowds until 10 PM where you can shop, eat, and see movies without central Delhi's intensity. English is spoken in commercial places. The area has no real character - could be any Asian suburb - but that's comforting if you need a break from Delhi chaos. Saket metro station on the Yellow Line connects to the mall. Residential streets are quiet and safe but there's nothing to do outside the commercial zones. Solo dining works at the mall restaurants and nearby places. Suburban shopping area with families, not backpackers - safe and comfortable but forgettable.

Upscale shopping and dining area popular with diplomats and expats. Very safe with good restaurants and cafes, but expensive and not particularly Indian in character.
