Vilnius, Lithuania
What 90% of solo women don't know about staying safe in Vilnius.
Modern business district along Gedimino Avenue with government buildings, shopping, and newer restaurants. Safe, well-connected, less touristy than Old Town.
Built in the 19th century as the administrative center under Russian rule. Gedimino Avenue is still the main street - 2 kilometers of government buildings, shops, restaurants, and cafes. During the day you'll see office workers, shoppers, and some tourists. The area has an emerging restaurant and bar scene as old factories get converted into lofts and venues. People eat alone here all the time - lots of young professionals grabbing lunch or dinner solo. English is common since international companies have offices nearby. Parts of the street close to cars in the evening. Good police presence because of government buildings, well-lit at night. More modern and businesslike than Old Town, less historic charm but also less touristy.

Areas with comparable safety profiles for solo female travelers
The Old Town is the most convenient base - walkable, safe, lots of cafes and restaurants where eating alone is normal. Prices are higher than residential neighborhoods but still reasonable compared to Western European cities.
Modern business district mixed with old wooden house area. Safe and convenient for business travel with good hotels, but no charm or atmosphere compared to Old Town or Užupis.
Užupis has the artistic community vibe with good cafes and a welcoming feel. Safe and more residential than the main Old Town, less touristy but still accessible. Pricier than other neighborhoods.
