Granada, Nicaragua
Granada's tourist strip and safest area at night, with international restaurants, bars, and cafes on a pedestrian street. Good if you want safety and English-speaking staff more than local authenticity.
This pedestrian street runs from Parque Central down to Lake Nicaragua and has most of Granada's social scene. During the day it's tourists browsing galleries and shops. Evenings turn into outdoor dining with tables on the cobblestones, live musicians, fire dancers, and street performers most nights (especially weekends). Restaurants aim for international tastes with English-speaking staff and multilingual menus. You'll see plenty of people eating alone, working in cafes, or having drinks at bars. Stays lit and busy until midnight when most restaurants close, though some bars like Level One go later. It's the safest evening area in Granada with constant foot traffic. The downside is higher prices and a tourist-heavy atmosphere - you won't get authentic Nicaraguan life here, but you'll be comfortable.

Areas with comparable safety profiles for solo female travelers
Centro Histórico has the main plaza, colonial architecture, and museums. Safe during the day with police around, good for cafe culture, but watch your stuff in markets and take taxis after dark.
Residential neighborhood with real local life and cheap prices. Works if you're fine with no English and taxiing to tourist areas for meals and evenings.
Worth a daytime visit for Las Isletas boat tours and photos, but the isolated stretches and rundown state make it unsafe to walk after dark. Taxi to and from at night.
