Stockholm, Sweden
Quiet island neighborhood with waterfront paths. Good for peaceful evenings but you'll need to travel to central areas for nightlife.
Kungsholmen is an island neighborhood close to downtown but quiet and residential. The waterfront path along Norr Mälarstrand gets joggers and walkers, with nice views across the water especially at sunset. Stockholm City Hall is on the eastern edge. The rest is residential streets, local shops, and neighborhood restaurants. Safe and quiet at all hours, good for sleep without city noise. Less English spoken here since it's residential, but people help if you need it. The downside is it's a 10-15 minute metro ride or walk from Gamla Stan and Norrmalm, so you'll need to travel for nightlife. Good if you want running paths and quiet evenings.
