City Walk is a pedestrian shopping and dining area at Al Wasl and Al Safa Road junction with shaded walkways and courtyards. Restaurants and cafes stay open until midnight on weekdays, 1am on weekends. The C2 Licensed District has 11 restaurants across three courtyards including La Serre. There are Instagram-focused cafes like Secret Garden and L'Occitane Café. Good lighting, visible security, stays busy with locals and tourists. English everywhere. It's one of the few walkable areas where you can spend hours on foot. More expensive than local areas.

The main tourist area with the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. Very safe, very expensive, set up for international visitors. English is standard and security is everywhere.
Waterfront area with lots of expats and tourists. Safe, international vibe, plenty of restaurants. Walkable along the promenade, stays busy at night.
Mall-centered area with shopping, dining, and Ski Dubai. Safe, convenient metro access, but it's an indoor mall experience, not a neighborhood.
