Details

The Marina is a man-made canal area with a 7km waterfront promenade. It attracts expats, young professionals, and tourists. The area stays busy past midnight, especially weekends. The Marina Walk is open 24/7 with good lighting and security patrols. There are over 60 restaurants along the water - laptop-friendly cafes and places like Pier 7 with seven floors of restaurants. You'll see women eating alone regularly. English is the main language since there are so many expats. It costs more than other areas and feels pretty artificial rather than local. The metro station connects directly with women-only cars available.
