South Lamar and Bouldin Creek are a casual, local area for restaurants, cafes and a quieter night out. Venues are spread apart, so use a rideshare after dark.
South Lamar and Bouldin Creek sit south of Lady Bird Lake and west of South Congress. Both are residential and casual, with a good share of the city's popular restaurants, bars and coffee shops along South Lamar Boulevard and South First Street. Bouldin Creek has bungalows, patios and neighborhood cafes where solo diners are common. South Lamar is a busier commercial corridor with restaurants, bars and a cinema that serves food and drinks. Evenings are lively but quiet down quickly, and some residential stretches are dim late at night. Walking works within clusters of venues, but the area is spread out, so plan on rideshares between them.
