LoHi is a compact neighborhood for eating and drinking, with good views and a young crowd. It is best on its main streets, with a short rideshare home at night.
Just across the highway from LoDo, LoHi sits on a hill with skyline views, converted houses and a dense mix of restaurants and cocktail bars. It is compact and walkable, and gets busy on evenings and weekends with a young professional crowd. Women dining or drinking alone are a common sight, especially at bar seats and patios. Streets can be quiet away from 15th Street, 16th Street and Platte Street, so walk back with company or take a rideshare late at night. Parking is tight, and cars get broken into.

LoDo and Union Station are the most convenient base in Denver, with the airport train, restaurants and nightlife close by. It is polished and touristy, and costs reflect that. Stick to the busy streets after dark and use rideshare for longer walks.
Washington Park is a quiet residential area with a large park and small shopping streets. It suits a calm stay, with downtown a short ride away.
Cherry Creek is calm and upscale, and among the more reassuring areas in Denver for women on their own. It is quieter at night and more expensive, with downtown a short rideshare away.
