RiNo is one of the more interesting neighborhoods in Denver for art, beer and food. It is best by day and early evening, with rideshare for getting around at night.
RiNo (River North) is Denver's arts district, with large street murals, converted warehouses, breweries, galleries and food halls. It works best by day and early evening, when streets such as Larimer, Walnut and Blake are busy. The area is still changing, with new buildings next to older industrial blocks, and homelessness is visible nearby, especially along Broadway and the blocks toward Five Points. Stay on busy streets after dark, and use rideshare between venues if the route is unfamiliar. Solo travelers are common in the food halls, breweries and cafes.

Capitol Hill is an affordable neighborhood with a strong LGBTQ+ scene and a lived-in, local character. It is fine by day and in busy venues, but needs more care on the Colfax side and late at night.
LoDo and Union Station are the most convenient base in Denver, with the airport train, restaurants and nightlife close by. It is polished and touristy, and costs reflect that. Stick to the busy streets after dark and use rideshare for longer walks.
LoHi is a compact neighborhood for eating and drinking, with good views and a young crowd. It is best on its main streets, with a short rideshare home at night.
