It has a local, relaxed feel, with people walking dogs, pushing strollers and lingering over brunch, and it is one of the easier places in Nashville for a woman alone to spend a day. Cafes have plenty of solo diners and the staff are unhurried. It is not a late-night party district: things wind down earlier than Downtown or The Gulch, and the residential streets around the main strip get quiet and dark. Wander during the day, and take a short rideshare to and from your hotel after dinner.
