The Biltmore area is the resort-like corner of Phoenix, with shopping, dining and good security. It is comfortable but car-dependent and quiet at night.
The historic Arizona Biltmore resort and Biltmore Fashion Park sit along the Camelback Corridor, a strip of offices, upscale shops and restaurants. The area is well lit and managed, with security patrols around the shopping center and resort and a mostly business and visitor crowd. Restaurants and wine bars are comfortable for dining alone, and hotel staff are used to travelers. Everything is built around cars and the streets between the shopping center, offices and hotels are wide, so walking is possible but not pleasant, and a rideshare is the better option after dark. It suits a quiet, resort-style stay with easy access to the airport.
