North Cali (Versalles/Centenario)

Business and hotel district. Safe and modern with good transport. Lacks character but works as a functional base.

North Cali includes Versalles and Centenario along Avenida 6, part of the Zona Rosa entertainment district. You'll find 4 and 5-star hotels, office towers, medical centers, international businesses. More English spoken here than most of Cali. The area has Cali Tower and parks like Parque Simón Bolívar where families gather on weekends. Safe to walk around with police presence and maintained infrastructure. Like other wealthy areas, streets feel empty at night because people drive instead of walk. The dining and bar scene overlaps with Granada - upscale restaurants, rooftop cocktails, tourist prices. Better transport connections and closer to shopping than Granada. But it's the same tradeoff: sterile, expensive, not very Colombian. This is business district territory. People feel safe here but bored compared to San Antonio or Parque del Perro. It works as a comfortable base with modern amenities if you're planning to explore other neighborhoods anyway.
