Don't Make These 5 Mistakes in Panaji

What 90% of solo women don't know about staying safe in Panaji.

Business district near bus stand with nightlife venues and restaurants. Good transport connections but no charm. Better as a transit point than a place to stay.

Details

Patto is a business district near the Patto bridge and bus stand. There's a food court near the passport office, Ritz Classic Patto for seafood and Goan Thali, and Orchid Boutique on MG Road. It's not scenic or cultural - just functional and well-connected for transport. At night, Soho club and Down The Road bar near the bridge draw a younger crowd. During the day it's office workers and people catching buses. Lighting is decent on main roads with police around, but it's not somewhere you'd walk around exploring. It's more for dining, nightlife, or transit. Staff speak English but the area has no charm compared to Fontainhas or appeal compared to the beach. It's a transit hub, not a destination.
