Puebla, Mexico
Upscale neighborhood with cafes, bakeries, and bistros. Safe, modern, good cafe culture for working remotely or eating well. Parisian-influenced vibe, more residential than Centro.
La Paz is one block from Avenida Juárez, near the historic center. Young professionals and students frequent the modern cafes with good coffee, artisan bakeries, and bistros doing French-Mexican fusion. It's a bit upscale but relaxed, with coworking-friendly spaces. Lots of people eat alone while reading or on laptops. The area is safe, modern, and walkable, with cafe culture that feels local rather than touristy. Some places have English speakers, especially those catering to expats. Quieter than Centro at night but still comfortable for evening dining. The aesthetic is Parisian-influenced - outdoor seating, nice interiors. Works as a base if you want to be near the historic center but in a more residential, upscale area with good food.
