Don't Make These 5 Mistakes in Lahore

What 90% of solo women don't know about staying safe in Lahore.

Summary

Military district with high security, orderly infrastructure, and reliable services. Not trendy like Gulberg but safe and well-located for reaching the Old City and other areas. Good if security is a priority.

Details

The military district with wide boulevards, colonial buildings, and constant military presence. Houses military families, government officials, and several embassies. Military checkpoints, well-maintained roads, organized green spaces. Crime is rare and police response is fast because of the military. Restaurants serve Pakistani and international food. Staff speak functional English since they serve military personnel and expats. No trendy cafe culture like Gulberg, but solid reliable dining that stays open into the evening. Seeing women eat alone is normal - military wives meet friends at restaurants. The atmosphere is formal and structured, not vibrant. Think government district. Streets are safe for walking during day and evening, though taking Uber or Careem after 9-10pm makes sense like everywhere else. Mall Road runs through here with shopping and dining. Location is convenient - between the Old City and newer areas like Gulberg.
