Singapore, Singapore
What 90% of solo women don't know about staying safe in Singapore.
Quiet riverside neighborhood with upscale dining. Residential feel, safe and relaxed, no major attractions.
The quieter upstream neighbor of Clarke Quay. Instead of party atmosphere, it's peaceful riverside dining and families. Expats and young professionals live here, so it feels residential with upscale restaurants and wine bars along the water. The pace is slower than Clarke Quay or Orchard Road. Safe at all hours, easy to eat alone. Restaurants like The Penny Black and Mischief have riverside seating. No cultural attractions or shopping, but quality dining and calm atmosphere. Nice in early evening when locals jog and families eat dinner. It has condos mixed with restaurants - feels more like living in Singapore than visiting. English everywhere, service is good.
