Lived-in feel - locals doing daily business, street art, basement clubs on weekends. Manageable with normal city awareness. Main streets after dark, watch valuables. The 25hours Hotel and ibis budget are here with decent prices. English works for basics but you'll hear more Swiss German than in tourist areas.
