Phuket, Thailand
What 90% of solo women don't know about staying safe in Phuket.
Prettiest beach on Phuket with protected natural area. Very safe. Good for peaceful escape and swimming. Almost no nightlife or restaurants, isolated from other areas. Better for relaxing than exploring.
Nai Harn is one of the prettiest and least developed beaches on Phuket. A monastery owns a lot of the land around it so it can't get overdeveloped. The bay has white sand, clear water, green hills. Families, expats, and people looking for quiet instead of nightlife. Stayed quiet on purpose - no nightclubs, no loud bars, no jet skis. A few restaurants and cafes but limited compared to busier beaches. Eating alone is fine in the spots available, but you'll be around families and older expats, not party people. English works in tourist places. Beach is good for swimming in high season, though monsoon season has strong currents. Very safe - quiet village feel, no late-night parties, family-oriented. Almost no nightlife, few restaurants, feels isolated from the rest of Phuket. Need Grab to get anywhere else. Come here to escape tourism and disconnect, not as a base to explore from. One of Thailand's nicest beaches if you want peace.
